The story of a boy and girl who went on a Europe trip with their respective friends, and then fall in love. The way the boy (Raj) travels all the way to Punjab to meet his love (Simran), whose father had fixed her wedding when she was a baby with the son of his best friend, who was apparently the villain. The film was in Europe and Punjab. The clothes, the songs and the sets will make you look for someone to fall in love with (if you already don’t have). The story ends with the epic dialogue when the father of Simran says “JA SIMRAN JA, JEELE APNI ZINDAGI”. 2. HUM DIL DE CHUKE SANAM:
This is the story of a love triangle, in the first half of the movie you will see Sameer (Salman Khan) who has come from Italy to learn folk music from the father of Nandini (Aishwarya Rai), who eventually falls in love with her. They make promises and sing songs in beautiful clothes, when the family of Nandini finds out about their love. The father of Nandini asks Sameer to leave India forever and never come back. So he does as he is told by his guru. While he is in Italy he write letters to Nandini, which of course never reaches her. So, she married to Vanraj (Ajay Devgan) in the second half, but doesn’t accepts him as her husband, so he promises her to take her back to her love Sameer. On the journey to find Sameer in Italy, Nandini actually falls in love with Vanraj. The story ends when she unites with Vanraj. The chemistry between the actors will give you tears and the love shown in the movie will make you long for one.
3. VEER ZARA:
The story is about Veer (Shah Rukh Khan) and Zara (Preity Zinta) who are from India and Pakistan respectively. The story begins where Zara comes to India without telling anyone at home to spill the ashes of her grandmother in the Punjab River and meets Veer on her way. She tells him why she has come so far, so he takes her to his village and there she meets his family and learns new things about life. He helps her with the ashes and then sends her back to Pakistan. Both of them don’t realize the fact that they had already fallen in love with each other. On returning back to Pakistan Zara is engaged to a boy. Veer leaves his job in the Indian Army to go and meet Zara, on reaching Pakistan he is charged with wrong allegations and put behind bars where he agrees to stay without asking for bail on a condition that Zara will be kept alive and happy if he does this. The twist come when Saamiya (Rani Mukherjee) the lawyer of Veer comes and investigates about the whole story. The story then brings Zara in Punjab living in the village where the family of Veer used to live. The sacrifice both Veer and Zara make for each other without even knowing if the other person is even benefiting from it is beyond what words can explain.
4. MAINE PYAR KIYA:
This is a story of Prem (Salman Khan) and Suman (Bhagyashree) who meet for the first time when Suman’s dad has to go for some work and leaves her at the house of his best friend, thinking she will be taken care of. The couple then falls in love. When the father of Prem gets to know about their love he insults Suman in the absence of Prem and kicks her out of the house. The father of Suman is shocked to see all this and challenges his friend that he will marry his daughter to the best boy in town. After Prem gets to know all this he leaves his father’s house and property for Suman. But Suman’s father tells Prem to earn money and only then he will be able to get them married. Prem works in a stone mine day and night to earn the amount of money that his would-be- father-in- law has asked for. He faces all types of difficulties which he has never seen in his entire life and earns the amount for Suman’s love. At the end everyone realises their faults and gets Suman and Prem married. this is a story of Aditya (Shahid Kapoor) a depressed businessman, who falls in love with Geet (Kareena Kapoor) a care-free Punjabi girl who is full of life, when they meet on a train journey, where they miss their train half way and then Aditya has to take Geet to her house because apparently everything was his fault. When they reach home Geet tells Aditya that she is going to run away to Shimla to meet her boyfriend and they will get married there only. On reaching Shimla they say their last goodbyes and part their ways. The story then takes a leap where Aditya is no longer depressed and is touching the heights of success. On the other hand Geet is living alone in Shimla as a teacher because they boy she loved refused to marry her at the last moment. The story ends when Aditya comes to know about all these things and then they decide to get married. The impact love could have on someone and change them completely from being depressed to joyful is unbelievable.
